Expanded Event Animation Library & Auto-update feature
We're excited to bring you the latest enhancement to PLAY’s Event Animation Library. This update not only broadens the range of interactive animations available to you but also introduces an auto-update feature, ensuring that new animations added to one game on the platform become immediately available for use in any other game. Previously limited to 'Pulse' and 'Shake', our Event Animation Library now includes a variety of new animations, giving you more creative freedom in customizing game experiences.
New animations include:
Blink: A quick attention-grabbing flash.
Bounce: A lively, playful movement.
Bubble: A subtle, floating effect.
Pulse: The classic attention-getter.
Rotate: A dynamic spinning motion.
Slide: A smooth directional emphasis.
Shake: A vigorous, exciting movement.
Squish: A new, playful compression and stretching effect to add a fun twist to your animations.
These animations can be applied to various events within games, like the 'Right or Wrong' animations in the "Memory" game, allowing you to choose any of these animations to visually engage players.
Using the Expanded Event Animation Library:
Select an Event: In the game editor, choose an event that you want to animate (e.g., Right or Wrong answer in "Memory").
Choose an Animation: Browse through the expanded animation library and preview the effects.
Customize and Apply: Select the desired animation and apply it to the event. Customize further if needed, adjusting parameters like speed, intensity, and duration.
Test and Iterate: Preview the animation within the game context and make adjustments as necessary for the optimal player experience.
Auto-Update Functionality:
Whenever a new animation is added to any game within the platform, it automatically updates the Event Animation Library. This means that all new animations become instantly available for use across different games on the platform, providing a seamless and dynamic creative experience.
BUG FIXES
In this update, we've addressed a critical bug that was affecting users on Mac 14.1 Chrome. The issue, which involved difficulties with selecting a layer and then adjusting its position using arrow hotkeys, has now been resolved.
We have identified and addressed a bug affecting the layer grouping and movement within PLAY. This issue was impacting the visibility and stability of layers when rearranged in the Layers panel.
